Today, to wrap up a massive Get Ready Queensland Week, the team embarked on school visit to Berrinba East State School.

The enthusiastic students listened to a presentation about natural disasters and the steps they can take to help their families Get Ready - make a plan and pack supplies.

Families that are well prepared before a natural disaster occurs are more resilient and are able to recover faster. The student's learnt that the  best way to minimise the disruption to their family’s lives, is to first understand your risk to natural disasters, look at the big picture and identify the scenarios you need to consider, and make a plan.

The visit was finished with students putting their knowledge and skills to the test playing the Get Ready virtual reality game.
