Substation33 has taken top prize in the Community category at the 2019 Get Ready Queensland Resilient Australia Awards for its Flooded Road Smart Warning System.

The Flooded Roads Smart Warning System is an automated display to alert road users of a road crossing compromised by flood waters and also has the ability to send SMS and email alerts.

Designed in partnership with Logan City Council and Griffith University, the warning system is an innovative solution that has the ability to save lives and keep Queenslanders safer on our roads.

The system has now been installed in 35 locations around Logan and is being delivered in communities around the state.

This project will now be reviewed by @AIDR alongside finalists across the six categories for consideration in the National Resilient Australia Award ceremony next month.
