Get Ready Queensland provides $2 million in Queensland Government funding to help local governments improve their communities’ resilience and aligns with QRA’s mission to make Queensland the most disaster resilient state in Australia.

2023-24 funding program

2023-24 Get Ready Queensland program is underway. 

Funding has been issued.

2023-24 acquittals

All claimed GRQ expenditure for the 2023-24 program must be submitted to QRA by 30 September 2024.

When preparing your acquittal, the following should be attached as supporting documents:

  • Signed acquittal report
  • Examples of completed activities funded (e.g. event photos, collateral, videos)
  • Detailed transaction general ledger report.

Unspent funds from the 2023-24 Get Ready Queensland program must be acquitted back to QRA and cannot be rolled over to future funding rounds. 

The acquittal process can be emailed to submissions@qra.qld.gov.au

2024-25 funding program

The planning phase for the 2024-25 Get Ready Queensland program is underway, with Councils set to receive their submission packs in May 2024.

Funding allocations will remain consistent with the previous financial year, and submissions must be returned  to submissions@qra.qld.gov.au by 30 June 2024.
