Queensland weather can turn quickly, but taking small steps now can help protect the people and things we care about.

Help us Get Queensland Ready by sharing the campaign with your organisation and its stakeholders. This toolkit makes it easy, with suggested social media content, images, videos and print-ready posters to bring the campaign to life and encourage Queenslanders to take simple steps to prepare for severe weather.

Running from 6 October to 15 November 2026, Get Ready Queensland’s new Get Queensland Ready campaign features ambassador Johnathan Thurston (JT) and highlights the role we all play in preparing ourselves, our families and our communities for severe weather.

The campaign brings our three steps—know your risk, make a plan and pack a kit—to life through simple, practical actions. It directs Queenslanders to a new online severe weather checklist, making it easy to get started, tick off actions and build preparedness over time.
