Welcome to the Queensland chapter of the Resilient Australia Awards 2026, celebrating the everyday heroes helping make Queensland stronger.
Extreme weather is part of life here, but so is our spirit. Queenslanders come together to prepare, respond and recover side by side. These awards recognise the local ideas, leadership and practical actions that keep communities safe and connected, before, during and after disasters. If you’re building resilience in your community, we’d love to hear your story. |
Queensland State Convenor Faye Gibson is passionate about championing the people and projects making a real difference across our communities. Faye is keen to hear your story and to support you every step of the way. From shaping your idea through to submitting your nomination for the Resilient Australia Awards 2026. If you’re doing meaningful work to help Queensland prepare for, respond to, or recover from disasters, Faye would love to connect and help bring your efforts into the spotlight.
