Welcome to the Queensland chapter of the Resilient Australia Awards 2026, celebrating the everyday heroes helping make Queensland stronger.

Extreme weather is part of life here, but so is our spirit.

Queenslanders come together to prepare, respond and recover side by side. These awards recognise the local ideas, leadership and practical actions that keep communities safe and connected, before, during and after disasters.

If you’re building resilience in your community, we’d love to hear your story.

If you’re doing meaningful work to help Queensland prepare for, respond to, or recover from disasters, Faye would love to connect and help bring your efforts into the spotlight.
