2026-2027 Get Ready Queensland Funding Program
In June 2026, all councils will receive an invitation via email to submit their Get Ready Queensland (GRQ) funding applications.
Councils are strongly encouraged to submit their applications to the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) by 10 July 2026. Timely submission will ensure applications are assessed promptly and that the 90% funding payment is processed ahead of Get Ready Queensland Week, scheduled for 6 to 12 October 2026.
Please be advised that the final deadline for submissions is 31 August 2026. Applications not received by this date will have their funding automatically allocated to QRA-led activities.
All funding submissions should be emailed to submissions@qra.qld.gov.au
Program activities are to be completed by 30 June 2027.
2026-27 Grant Acquittal Requirements
Grant recipients must submit the completed GRQ Project Form, Acquittal Activities, and signed Certification (Acquittal) forms to submissions@qra.qld.gov.au by 30 September 2027.
If you need more time, contact your QRA Resilience and Recovery Officer or the GRQ team at getready@qra.qld.gov.au by 1 September 2027 to request an extension.
Required supporting documents:
Transaction ledger report or invoices for claimed expenses
Evidence of completed activities (photos, videos, collateral)
Progress report
Signed Certification (Acquittal) form confirming:
a) Activities met funding guidelines and objectives
b) Funds were used appropriately for community benefit and all conditions were met
Requesting a rollover:
If grant recipients have not used the full 90% upfront payment and want to rollover the remaining funds to be used in the next financial year, please contact your QRA Resilience and Recovery Officer or the GRQ team at getready@qra.qld.gov.au for approval by 31 May 2027.
